This is done in Acrylic on Canvas sized 8" by 10". They looked lovely standing in a row.. as if in a parade! I could not resist putting them on my canvas before pushing them in to the grill.. pieces of cottage cheese, cherry tomatoes and colored bell peppers!

I enjoyed doing this mural on our balcony wall. This balcony has a water fountain and I wanted to match the water element. I used acrylics and then gave a final varnish coat. Over the years, in spite of rain and shine, the paint has not faded a bit!

This is a water color done on paper. It was done during my trip to Udaipur. Seems like Basket making is one of the oldest craft forms .It was very interesting and impressive to look at these tribals reflect their art through their lovely work.

I have tried to come out of my comfort zone with this one. This is a wall mural about 8ft by 4 ft in size. I have a weakness to paint on walls :-) and I made sure that we left few 4 feet by 6 feet spaces on the walls, unpainted and primed. I used water colors and built layers for permanence. The fun part was to do a balancing act on a ladder, with paints in one hand and the brush in the other, as this space is just below the roof.

The movement of the fish has always fascinated me, they never seem to rest for a while! The aim was to use vibrant colors to get the movement .This is my first attempt with oils and it was fun messing around with the paints :-)

This was done during my trip to Bangkok. It was amazing to watch these people at the Floating Market, engaged in their daily selling of essential goods. They seemed to be so happy and at peace with their simple life style.There was a healthy competition to sell and make the most for their day. It was a treat to watch their bargaining.

It was a wonderful feeling to walk down the Queen's palace in Edinburgh. I fell in love with the garden so much, no one prevented me to day dream that the place belonged to me.. well as long as I took a walk amidst the exotic plants. :-).This is an acrylic on Canvas. Funny to think that I gifted this painting to someone whom I have never met and will never meet in my life :-)

The trip to Edinburgh was highlighted with the visit to the Castle. The Castle looked so serene and beautiful that I removed all the crowd that was around me from my mind and imagined solitude for a moment. That moment is captured here, again in Acrylic on Canvas.

When we built our new home, I left a space on the wall in our foyer for Rama. I took about 3 months to complete this wall mural in water color. It was meditative to fill in Rama's name all over the work.

This is wall mural of the celestial bird Garuda, done in water color. I took reference from a very small architectural panel of ChennaKesava temple in Somanathpur, Karnataka.I used just 3 colors-- sap green, yellow ochre and burnt sienna.
