Rhythm

I am back after a break, though vacation didnt keep me away from my paints! These two are done from my trip to Hawaii recently. The rhythm, the balance, the harmony that existed around made everything so animate. The moving water set the place in motion!

    Your pantings convey so much movement and flow of life, yes, I can tell that this place really stirred something inside you! I didn't realize it was Hawaii, though, until I read your words. I hope you had a wonderful time there! Would love to read about what you saw and the things you did. I visited the WWII memorial a few years ago, and it was very moving. One thing I remember so strongly about Hawaii is the unique smell and feel of the air there, being surrounded by ocean. Lovely work here, Padmaja, you bring a special touch to everything you portray in your paintings!

    They are so full of birds' songs and juice!
    Great feeling, continues first week after the return, you feel a bit Hawaiian, or Irish, air of the place stores under the skin.

    the color is amazing, so is the water, but really for me this is all about the tropical, brilliant color, love the color!

    Padmaja, you use color in the most glorious of ways - you always have. These are beautiful! Sounds like you were able to be out and about and see some gorgeous sights. Somehow I can't see myself ever able to visit Hawaii so I enjoy its beauty when others go.

    I've never been to Hawaii, but I can feel the lushness of it in these paintings. I must echo the other commenters (commentors?) that your use of color is beautiful and glorious and wonderful. I can feel the jungle like foliage and the coolness from the water.

    Not only can I hear the water rushing, but I feel it and you have enhanced that and created more rhythm through your depiction of the trees! Your colors say it all! Beautiful, Padmaja!
