The Path

Sometimes the path down the journey of life gets rough. Obstacles and stumbling at every few steps seem so evident.Though there is a lesson to learn at each stumble to grow and mature, the journey gets tiring and the destination does not seem to be in the vicinity. Still you push yourself with grit and keep walking and finally the destination is reached no matter how the path had been.

I have taken a baby step towards letting go of details here which seem to be a overwhelming task for me! Long way to go..:-)
Inspiration from a memorable trek at Point Lobos, CA.

  7. Padjama, you do such colorful painting. I am so timid with color most of the time... Once in a while I get a 'wild streak' and those times are mostly when I see paintings the way you do..Your work is a joy to look at.
Not east to get rid of details , just like in life... We need to shed somethings.

  16. You are great with watercolor, also! Is there any medium you can't do? Love the path, the light and the colors you have chosen for this. It requires no more detail than you have included and the image portrays what you spoke of about journeys. Beautiful, Padmaja! I like your figures. They move very easily through the format.

  19. I LOVE the colors you use here.
To win over my inclination for details I use brushes on long arm and large size paper.
On life path the faith helps me to choose the right opportunities and to understand the lessons.
