The Pacific at my feet

It is an oil on paper sized 9 by 12 inches. I chose to do it with only black, diluted with oil and used the white of the paper just like it was a water color!

This was done from a picture I took when I was enjoying the San Francisco Bay cruise. The boat kept floating on the waves and it was an adventurous experience. As I kept my feet on the edge, for a moment, I blurred out the magnificent view of the Golden Gate bridge and everything else around me and at that point, I could see just the vastness of the ocean as if it merged with the sky with no line of the horizon. The overwhelming feeling of the ocean at my feet induced a sense of arrogance, a feeling of conquering the world! But in a moment, I could come back to reality, just enjoy the experience with a sense of wisdom that I was just a minute particle in the universe :-)
