Securly

This post is all about a product that addresses the emotion that my painting evokes - the need to protect our children. The Internet can be a great educational resource and these days kids as young as 4 can access the Internet. On the other hand, there are potential dangers as well that parents need to be aware of. Securly gives parents the peace of mind they need to stop worrying about their children when they're online.

My son Bharath  and his friend Vinay who are based in the Bay Area, California, left their regular jobs to work on Securly. The video on the front page explains what Securly does.

They need your help to grow at this time. If you are impressed with what you see, please like their Facebook fan page: www.facebook.com/BrowseSecurly and if possible share it on your Facebook profile. Also, if you have children at home. Do sign up and give Securly a try!

  5. Love that painting, Padmaja. I'm reminded of Dumbo and his mom singing to him. I wish I could help as your son's business is extraordinary. Unfortunately, i deactivated my Facebook page a couple of years ago. I saw too much garbage on my own daughters' walls that upset me so I just took myself off of it.

  6. There is such a need for simple ways to control web-browing among children, websites like Securly are a wonderful tool. I am glad my youngest child is a young adult now. Your drawing is both simple and tender.

  15. This reminds me of one of my favorite animated movies - "Dumbo", when the mother has been imprisoned but she reaches out from her barred window to comfort her baby Dumbo. It is probably my favorite scene in the whole movie because of the tenderness it shows.
This is absolutely lovely, and for such an wonderful cause!!!

I went to their website but I am at a hotel with a very slow connection so couldn't view the video. I'll look into this when I get home.
