Majesty

Majesty, 8 by 10 inches , oil
One of the most favorite places I have traveled to is Sedona. It is on my bucket list is to visit Sedona one more time this life time and paint the gorgeous red rocks plein air. Too far fetched idea I guess, but I have hope! Painting this from my album accentuated that hope.I am also looking forward to painting similar rock formations at our own Tirumala hills, I will, next time, keeping the religious agendas aside!

  1. The rock painting at Tirumala is within your quick reach and can be done soon while the visit to Sedona can wait for an opportune time..
The rock and the blue sky behind is very nice.

  16. Terra cotta rock formations have always brought me to a peaceful, spiritual place (in my mind), and I have never visited Sedona or any of the US Southwest, also on my bucket list. But I also think of Cezanne and the French countryside.

  17. Seeing your beautiful rendition, reminds me of my many photographs from Sedona and grand canyon ! I feel intimidated by the beauty. I admire your courage to paint what you see and feel --I can see it in the texture and colors of your painting!
