Acrylic on canvas sized 20'' by 24''
I look in to the mirror, I see my face,
I also see my many faces..
My faces as
a grand daughter, a daughter, a sister,
a wife, a mother..
The person I have been..
The person I could have been..
My inward journey has just begun!
What a great dedication for International Artists Day, such a beautiful and intriguing selfportrait! Love the background shapes and colours and that we only see your reflection peeking out...very thought provoking.

Love this staring in the mirror painting. I paint my self portrait some each year. Each one is unique and not like the other. Like you say, it is revealing of the many sides of one's self. I like the faded profiles you added to accentuate your point, Padmaja!

This like all of your paintings is another winner! The thoughts behind it are some that most of us have one time another in our lives and the journey will continue. Someone said, "When you are through changing, you are through." May your journey be rewarding.
