Acrylic on paper sized 7' 'by 10". With a a short drive of under an hour from downtown San Francisco, one can enjoy Muir woods, a beautiful, ancient redwood forest that is fabulously unique. The forest floor is damp and cool, the trees seem to reach out for all the sun that they can get, some patches of light falling on the ground here and there. Most of the trees here are about 800 to 1000 years old and the tallest tree is about 252 feet high. We stood like miniatures next to these gigantic trees.
The trees seemed like touching the sky..more like ambitious men and women trying to reach their goals in life. But is sky the limit when man has explored the space! I feel that we should not be bound by any limits when we try to reach a goal. As long as we believe in ourselves, there is no limit to what we can achieve, I believe so!

ReplyDeleteI came over from Inspiration All Around to comment on your relections painting (which I don't think you posted here yet) but saw this and said "wow". I have stood there in Muir Woods and your painting brings me back there instantly. Love this work, the light as it bounces off the foliage. And the path (with it's railings) just invites me to walk down it. Great job.

I love Muir Woods. I love this painting. I love that the people are so tiny... like they should be bigger... but anyone who has walked on that path knows that that is exactly how you feel walking among those gorgeous giants.
