Acrylic on canvas 9 by 12 inches
For many of us a day begins and ends with not much meaning. For
some, it is a matter of survival for one meal a day, for some it is a
day of pain and suffering. Is there a purpose to such existence is the
question that arises and I have been asking that question myself for a
long time!
I am beginning to think that we need to create a purpose
if we didnt find one, then the real awakening of the soul happens. It is
never too late or is it? I am trying.
"How deeply you touch another life is how rich your life is" /Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev
This is very expressive and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis is your best so far and my favourite by far!! I LOVE the self expression and the subject matter and the colours!!
ReplyDeleteCreating a purpose is a way to give meaning or for an artist simply creating a piece like this is THE purpose. I think that makes sense...lol : )
Stunning work, Padmaja. And no, it is never too late.
ReplyDeleteCould not agree more with those prophetic words and this lovely acrylic painting, Padmaja:)

What a beautiful piece with great lines. Finding purpose, I believe, is the game of life--we're always looking for reasons to exist.

Your post posed a question that I think most of us have asked ourselves. Fortunate are those who are able to say they have found their purpose.
ReplyDeleteI love this painting!!! It has a movement and energy that is new in your work. As much as love you earlier paintings, I rank this one as real breakthrough. Bravo!
Hello Padmaja. I feel the same way about my art sometimes. What is the purpose? Why do we do this? But then there comes an inspiration and off we go to create once again. Drawing us like a magnet. My art helps me to make sense of this old world. Your painting is beautiful. You have the best ideas.
ReplyDeleteI am always asking myself that question. I loved this post and your painting is stunning. The bits of deep orange really make this painting come alive.
ReplyDeleteI like this painting, its colors and composition and birds, the symbols of so many great things.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I lost the meaning on the way and now desperately trying to find it again. Otherwise even painting looks useless and meaningful, though for me "art is the air I breath".
awesome work Padma
ReplyDeleteThis is positively magical, Padmaja! I have not been able to blog too much lately, so I really enjoyed scrolling through yours and seeing all of the wonderful work you have been doing!!!
ReplyDeletePadmaja, this is striking! I love the colors and it's so lively!
ReplyDeleteWonderfulll splashyyy art
ReplyDeleteThis one is a personal favorite and I like your work always, but maybe it is the story with it. Creating a purpose? I never thought of it that way but it makes so much sense. We artists are fortunate because our purpose is to create, writers write but what about the people with nothing?
ReplyDeleteQuite profound.
i wish you a lovely week-))))
ReplyDeletekisses my friend

Are you on etsy.com?
That's a beautiful philosophy, to create a purpose if you don't feel you have one. I think there are many in the world who do just that. They look for a place where there is need, and they fill the empty place and nourish that need. For artists, we create awareness in people's minds of where the needs might be, and how they might find peace and purpose within themselves. This painting is exquisite! How did you do this one? Am I seeing a special textured surface there? I love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting...
ReplyDeleteThanks
Very meaningful painting and message. Its never too late to find purpose of life!
ReplyDeleteSomehow I missed vieweing this painting earlier.
