From my trip to Hawaii. While watching this guy surf, I felt that
fearlessness means more focus and more balance. This probably applies to
all walks of life I guess!
Goodness, you have really made the most of your time in Hawaii, gathering such beautiful impressions to come home and paint for us to experience it too! This is gorgeous!
What terrific movement you captured. I can understand what you mean about being fearless. I could never take on a big wave. The littles ones were thrill enough for me. Same in life. Extremes in anything make me uncomfortable.
You also painted this so spiritually, Padmaja. That cloud bank in the background actually gives this painting some life and movement. I think it might be the stillness of the cloud bank contrasted with the movement in the wave and all the different strokes and colors you used to create it. I like that about balance!
I love the surfer in the middle of all this activity. Sun, sky, water, surf! I feel like I would enjoy watching him surf fearlessly. I am not fearless. I wouldn't be surfing. :)
I have always enjoyed art from an early age. I paint because I love the process the most. It has been a self learning experience and I am enjoying my journey of constant learning and creating. Thank you for visiting.
Very true.Fearlessness stems from competence and confidence too..The darkness of the sea accentuates the fearlessness

Love all the colors you've captured in the water, Padmaja! I've never tried surfing; wonder if it is as difficult as it looks?!
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous. The waves and the clouds in the distance add drama to the overall effect. Great job.

ReplyDeleteA moment caught perfectly. I love it, Padmaja.
ReplyDeleteThis proves once again that a picture speaks more than the words:)
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I got a gray oval with a line in it...no painting. Disappointed.
ReplyDeleteWill try back.
