Showtime, 8 by 10 inches oil
This was done from my Hawaii trip. This is the sunset point from where we can watch the sun go down inch by inch, each countdown moment filled in wonder and the mind in absolute silence. Hope you enjoy this sunset as well :-)
Your blog is so perfectly named, Padmaja. This is beautiful! Hope you are feeling well?
ReplyDeletePadmaja, do you really have people who will stand silently with you and watch the sun set? I envy you that! It's a gorgeous piece, reflecting what you see, yourself, when you experience something awe inspiring. Thanks for using your talents to share it with others!
ReplyDeleteIt's the vibrant colors that you capture so peacefully, and the scale of the 2 viewing the sky really puts everything about this in perspective. Thank you for sharing another beauty.
ReplyDeleteOhhh so beautiful!! I enjoyed the sunset also up at Pismo over the holidays. It was so gorgeous. YOu inspire me to try and capture it in art.

ReplyDeleteI love the beautiful colors of the sky. And the sun slowly going down with the two people silently watching. I did something like that in Florida once. It was beautiful. I get the same feeling looking at your painting.
ReplyDeleteHello Padmaja, the skies in this piece have such a beautiful texture. I am glad I enlarged the photo to see it better. Gorgeous work in these last few pieces.
ReplyDeleteI follow Gary Everest Paintings blog. He is a portrait painter mostly and lives in Hawaii now. You might enjoy his blog.

ReplyDeletePadmaja, this is gorgeous. I love the purple in the sunset.
ReplyDeleteI love your softness of the edge of the sun as it melts into the haze of light. The colors are beautiful but your words reached my heart...
ReplyDelete"wonder and the mind in absolute silence."
