Connection
Last minutes, oil on canvas 8 by 10 inches
Sometimes when you feel you are alone, when you think there is none you can connect to, there is something out there in nature in its abundance that reassures that you are still connected,
the glowing orange ball that was going down was one such connection.
Sitting in my terrace lawn, I witnessed a beautiful sunset moment that
inspired me to take it to an unknown beach on my canvas. Hope you enjoy!

Ending the day..
Sunset at Yiti, 5 by7 inches oil on board
Three is company, 4 by 6 inches oil on board
The Last catch, 4 by 6 inches oil on board
Just the other day my husband who was on his way back home called and asked me to get to the west window of our room and look out!The sunset was magnificent! We never fail to enjoy a single sunset just like we look forward to to the rising sun. My day ends with gratitude for the grace received for the day, such a blessing if the day didnt have much to worry about!
When I am painting a piece, I have this bad habit of fiddling with it to no end, only
to result in a worse work! Sometimes it gets so frustrating. So today I
set myself a time limit to paint, a limit of 5 minutes to paint on each of
these small cards that I had almost discarded with no use. At 5 minutes I
stopped where I was. I was happy that I was not worried about how they would end up, I think I could do just enough to bring the essence of the subject.Thankfully I
haven't fiddled with them after the time limit :-) .They have found a home in Canada and are on their way!

Loner at La Jolla

We sat watching the sunset at La Jolla beach, Sandiego.(La Jolla in Spanish means "The Jewel". It is the Jewel of America's finest city, San Diego. La Jolla is located 15 minutes from downtown San Diego.) The sun played the role of an artist, splashed violet, indigo, orange and yellow all over the sky, the pattern kept changing each minute. The sky looked abstract.. there was no smooth merging of the colors. As we enjoyed this colorful play, a lone bird sat near the shore. He looked absolutely lost! Did his family leave him back by chance or was he still looking for his dinner? No idea!
