Picnic, 8 by 10 inches, oil
What is better than a picnic while driving countryside! I recently enjoyed one that inspired this painting. But honestly, when some people leave litter even in remotest places like this one it bothers me. I carry a bag to collect my trash and bring back home to dispose off. Only then I feel good about the picnic!
So stunning, Padmaja. The textures you are getting in your paintings lend to an impressionist feel and the colors are always just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAs usual the textures and colors are awesome. The atmosphere has been beautifully captured. I do not know about other countries, but litter and trash are a major issue here. Thankfully we have started accepting it as an issue. Hope we move in the positive direction.
ReplyDeleteThe picnic spot is so beautiful, where one can feel one with nature.
ReplyDeleteLovely colors!!
This painting is absolutely magical..the more I stare and look, the more I see. It is not only a visual experience of beauty for me but very sensory and dream-like! The brushstrokes-textures-layers are amazing! I especially love the cloudy pink-creamy skies...beautiful! So wonderful that you pick up the litter..such a careless act of others and such a loving-thoughtful one from you!

This is beautiful, Padmaja!!! The texture is amazing as well as the vibrant colors....Excellent painting!! It's a beautiful place and I can't believe anyone would want to destroy it by littering, but unfortunately it happens all over....
ReplyDeleteThe painting is exceedingly beautiful. It is a good idea to carry a garbage bag to collect the litter but many are careless in this regard.
ReplyDeleteI enlarged the painting and had a wonderful time looking at all the great mark-making. Your colors are beautifully impressionistic with the warm and cool setting up vibrations to delight my eyes.
ReplyDeleteTrash...the universal problem. I applaud you for picking it up. My house is on the edge of town and a park. I have to go out once a week and pick up other peoples trash. Mostly it is the younger people leaving soda cans etc.
Padmaja, I wish I could be under that gorgeous tree right now! You did a great job on this painting! I feel the same way you do about litter. My school is right by a park. The way people just throw their trash on the ground makes me crazy. There are plenty of trash cans available, but they litter anyway. I don't understand...
ReplyDeletePadma this can be seen by an artist like you can catch such beauty.
ReplyDeleteYou have painted it just the way I like to enjoy a picnic - under a tree.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you about insensitive people littering the place.
What a fabulous work on the big tree , such a great texture , a wonderful spot for a pic - nic !
ReplyDeleteLove the texture, the colours and the perfect place for a picnic!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful painting, Padmaja! Love that picnic tree! I need to do this with my Granddaughters this summer. What fun! Yes. We will surely clean up our trash. Good advice!
ReplyDeleteI could sit under that tree forever. I love the colors and textures and that small person enjoying the outside.
ReplyDeleteI hear you about the trash. It's a shame people have no respect for the earth.

I loved the style of the tree... The way it is slanting!
ReplyDeleteI also hate to see people throwing litter around, I can never do that. I also carry them back home and dispose it off!
The pastel sky is just lovely......what a great tree to picnic under!
ReplyDeleteI don't like rubbish left either, everyone should take their own rubbish home.
I love the way your works chronicle your own life, sometimes in capturing a simple moment, and sometimes in expressing powerful concepts and emotions. You are truly an artist, in every sense of the word! This picnic scene is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love the texture and vibrant colors...wonderful!
ReplyDeletejust lovely
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picnic inspiring painting.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as we get into the forest we start eating, only when the boxes are empty we wake up and realize we are in the woods and have to walk..
Completely agree about trash problem.
Very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful tribute to beauty of nature, small pleasures of life and little acts of kindness with big impact for mother earth :)
ReplyDeleteHello, lovely painting. It is a good idea not to litter waste even in remote places where no one can see us.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes
enrapturing work. I liked it much.
