If I have nothing else to do, I browse through my vacation pictures, that take me back to the memories and fun times! That led to the above painting this week. The Citadel that sits on the highest hill of Amman, Jordon.The giant standing pillars are the remains of the Roman Temple of
Hercules that was built
during the reign of Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius (AD 161–80).The citadel is in the heart of the downtown Amman, so it is like enjoying the coexistence of the past and the present. Thanks for looking!

Aren't photograph memories grand? They jog our memory of the wonderful times and places we have been :) perfect way to relive by painting beautiful scenes ! Well done as always.

The ancient world is revealed and appreciated through this painting. I love visiting World Heritage places and am thankful they exist to preserve.

ReplyDeleteMy goodness, it is amazing that any of it still stands. I like your use of warm colors in portraying this. Also, your brushstrokes, on the blocks at the base really suggest a strong foundation. Beautiful painting!
