Idyll

Idyll, 8 by 10 inches oil
This was done from a bag full of old photos that I have been safeguarding for years now! My brother and sister left home 30 years back,to make their new home in the US. Those were not the digital days and they used to send me tons of photos that I could enjoy, this place was some where in Colorado and I dont remember what exactly my brother wrote about it. But the picture motivated me to take out my paints!

  2. I love the texture on this painting, and the flow of lines back and forth. The colors, intermixed with your own unique way of seeing the world... it's gorgeous!

  3. Beautifully painted Padmaja! I love all the green. Colorado is a very favorite place of mine. It is the next state west of Kansas where I live and we can go from very very flat land to high, majestic mountains in about eight hours. We honeymooned there and took our boys there on many vacations. Thanks for prompting the memories.

You must miss your brother and sister a lot! So far away!

  18. I love this painting! Green is the most difficult color for me, it can be so artificial and dull. But here, everything is different. Breathing, fresh and so lively. Great work.
