Waiting, 8 by 10 inches oil
This painting evolved rather unexpectedly, here is how it did. Last
week, I was messaging my sister on Whatsapp and she was taking a walk
near her home( in Maryland). She typed saying that she was enjoying a baby deer
and took a pic of what she saw and sent it to me.I could not resist to
paint this adorable one standing there alone, painted it and sent the
image back to my sister before she reached her home, talk about
technology :-) (Later on I worked a bit more on that to arrive at this result)..Needless to mention that she was thrilled to see what she
enjoyed just then had materialized in to a painting.
What a lovely painting, Padmaja!! I am always marveling at the texture you get in your work!
ReplyDeleteThe trees remind me Klimt's "Birch Trees" painting, so much depth and interest here.
ReplyDeleteI always marvel at your ability to convert what you see into a fabulous piece of art.
ReplyDeleteI love the trees and the composition with the small deer so far in the woods yet seemingly looking at the viewer. Talk about technology and art working together. I'm sure your sister was thrilled when she got home to see this beautiful painting from her walk.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful painting with a gorgeous texture and a fabulous depth. The little deer in the middle really attracts your eyes.
